Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Managing Director and Resort Manager, responsibilities include overseeing the daily activities, strategic direction, and development of our Group Sellers, Conference Services, and PR/Marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing and Country DOSMs to maximize performance at Raffles and Fairmont the Red Sea.
  • Implement strategies combining regional and hotel initiatives to boost all market segments – Group, Transient, and Tour.
  • Communicate effectively regarding S&M initiatives, revenue driving, reporting, sharing best practices, and stakeholder management within the Regional Sales and Marketing team.
  • Work collaboratively in a complex, rewarding structure.
  • Position and launch the new ultra-luxury destination post-construction, leveraging USPs across all media channels.
  • Focus on Transient and Groups segments, developing programming and resort animation to promote marketing opportunities, collaborating with sister hotels and regional teams.
  • Position Transient offers for domestic and international segments.
  • Lead and collaborate with Regional Sellers to develop new accounts and markets.
  • Establish sales quotas aligned with the budget and work with sellers to achieve goals.
  • Apply strong Revenue Management knowledge to optimize revenues/yields and create initiatives to drive demand during slow periods, collaborating with Revenue Leaders.
  • Champion all Accor S&M campaigns and programs, ensuring participation and compliance.
  • Support the Conference Services Team to improve VOG results and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop aligned Sales, Marketing, and PR strategies supporting the hotel’s strategic plan.
  • Oversee digital marketing activities, content creation, analytics, and seasonal plans, working with regional digital teams.
  • Manage digital presence and social platforms.
  • Participate in online reputation strategy development.
  • Create and distribute collateral and promotional materials.
  • Oversee content updates on Raffles.com, Fairmont.com, and microsites, aligning with regional strategies.
  • Monitor marketing efforts for consistency in tone and property USPs.
  • Ensure compliance with brand marketing standards and internal/guest communications.
  • Manage Public Relations initiatives, working with PR directors or third parties, leveraging opportunities.
  • Engage with Regional Tourism Organizations and Destination Management Organizations, representing FCLL.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to increase brand awareness, collaborating with regional teams.
  • Prepare reports and analyze market data to assess position and identify opportunities.
  • Drive revenue streams, challenge processes, and promote innovation.
  • Provide customer insights and adapt strategies based on market trends.
  • Manage S&M expenses and payroll.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Owners, participating in business reviews.
  • Hire and develop sales and marketing leadership, focusing on local talent development.
  • Participate in Talent Acquisition and hotel Executive Committee activities.
  • Perform other duties and travel as required.

Raffles & Fairmont Red Sea, located in the Red Sea Project, offers a nature-focused resort experience with 361 rooms, diverse dining, spa, and proximity to an 18-hole golf course. It emphasizes sustainability and is situated on 200km of coastline with islands, volcanoes, marine habitats, and archaeological sites.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar luxury hotel role
  • Previous Director of Sales & Marketing in large hotels/resorts
  • Leadership experience is essential
  • Experience with Middle Eastern markets is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of sales, marketing, distribution, revenue, and loyalty concepts
  • Understanding of market influences on supply and demand
  • Fluent in English; other languages are desirable
